PURPOSE:To miniaturize an antenna by making surveying width constant by performing pulse transmission so that two or more pulse radio waves may exist at the same time in the area where observation is carried out by a pulse radar. CONSTITUTION:Pulse waves are transmitted so that two or more pulse waves may exist at the same time in the area where observation is carried out, the pulse waves are transmitted from transmitter 5. Reflected signals are transmitted to memory device 7 after being processed by range correlator 6, and then stored there until a number of data required for the signal processing of azimuth correlator 8 are obtained. On the basis of those data, azimuth correlator 8 performs arithmetic to obtain picture elements. The obtained picture elements are sent to picture display device 9 and arrayed in a matrix together with picture elements sent successively to be output as a 2-dimensional picture. |
