The connecting piece is used to join the water channels of plate type radiators which have tapped openings at the top and bottom of each section. The sections are joined together side by side, at the top and bottom. The connecting piece is made from a tube and has a right hand thread (6) at one end and a left hand thread (7) at the other, so that it can bring the plates together when being tightened. The sides of the connecting piece have two grooves (3) for receiving a tightening spanner.
