The holder for curtains or blinds on a rail has a vertical cavity with two sides. The top end of the cavity which faces a slide piece is closed by very thin, flexible strips protruding from each side and sloping downwards and inwards. At the bottom of the cavity is a continuous bar (8) which is part of a hook (9) and which subdivides the cavity down the middle into two slots which are each closed by the strip (14,15).
