<p>PURPOSE:To enhance a fermentation efficiency while sufficiently crashing and agitating suspended solids in a methane fermentation apparatus involving a vessel and a covered pipe arranged at the upper part of the vessel for collecting gases, by positioning an intercepting plate which will move conjointly with the vertical motion of the covered pipe. CONSTITUTION:A fermentation vessel 1 is provided at its upper part with a covered pipe 2 for collecting fermentation gases. The covered pipe 2 is arranged movable vertically in conjunction with the generation or extraction of the fermentation gases. In the covered pipe 2, there is an intercepting plate 3 which will move vertically in conjunction with the covered pipe 2. Whenever the covered pipe 2 moves vertically by the pressure of the fermentation gases, the intercepting plate 3 also moves vertically so that a horizontal part 9 of the intercepting plate 3 crashes and agitates and agitates suspended solids such as scum floating on the water surface. Consequently, the fermentation can be done with a high efficiency, while suspended solids are crashed and agitated at a low cost.</p> |
