PURPOSE:To perform desulfurization treatment which enhances the utilization rate of a desulfurizer by immersing the bottom end of a cylinder into molten metal, and periodically fluctuating the gaseous pressure in this cylinder thereby flowing the molten metal into the cylinder and adding the desulfurizer. CONSTITUTION:A cylinder 4 is inserted through a slag layer 3 into the molten iron 2 in a mixer car 1. A pressure fluctuation generator 5 is connected to the upper end part of the cylinder 4. A high pressure source 6 and a pressure reducing source 7 are provided to the generator 5, and are connected to the top end of the cylinder via pipings 8, 9, flow rate control valves 10, 11, and solenoid valves 12, 13. A controller 14 and a pressure detector 15 are provided. The solenoid valves 12, 13 are opened and closed alternately at fixed periods to fluctuate the pressure in the cylinder 4, whereby molten iron 2 is flow into and out from the cylinder 4. A desuflurizer 16 is added to the molten iron 2 in the cylinder 4 by way of a dispensing device 17. As the molten iron 2 flows in and out, the desulfurizer flows together with the molten iron 2 in the mixer car 1 and accomplishes desuflurization. In the final, it floats and separates. |
