The adjustable fastening is intended especially for crash helmets and incorporates flexible fastenings for adjusting the visor between an open and a closed position. Locking pieces (10,25) incorporate at least one pivot pin (12) belonging to the visor. A small plate (10) is positioned on the inside of the crash helmet (2) around the pivot pin (12). The small plate (10) has at least one intermediate setting (13) and one half-moon shaped setting (14), with the ends of the half-moon-shaped setting (14) positioned to one side of the intermediate setting (13), and also positioned on an arc.
