The matrix of charge transfer devices is used in the production of TV images in medical and industrial radiological industries. This enables the conventional tube to be replaced by a longer life device. A tube assembly (100) splits the image into several sub images by a lens (30) and sever semi-reflecting blades (31.32,33). These are separately focussed by another lens (41,42,43) onto a matrix of transfer charge devices (51,52,53). Each separate beam is shifted such that they comprise a total image. The image is reconstituted by an electronic circuit (60). A number of cameras are utilised and operate in synchronism to minmise the transfer time necessary for each camera. The system may be used with a digital processing system in which data is stored and subsequently reconstituted.
|
