<p>Hinge plate (6) is fixed to the door or window frame (1) with screws (10) in the normal way but it also has monobloc dowel pins (16) forced into sockets (17) in the frame. Monobloc side plates (18) are recessed (19) into one side (3) of the frame. When the screws (22) link side plates and dowels through threaded holes (20,21) a very strong fixing is obtained. Hinge plate (8) is fixed to the door or window (2) by screws (11) but is also has hole (24) matching socket (25) to take dowel pin (23) of plate (6) adding strength to plate (8) when the door or window is closed.</p> |
