The display board includes a panel (2) supported on a stand (1). The panel includes a map (3) showing partic. areas with a number of indicator lights (4) to identify particular places on the map. Two or three control panels are provided so that a user may request information about a variety of different topics - eg. hotels, parking, museums, public buildings etc. The first control is used to identify a particular group of sites, while the other controls are used to gain further detailed information. The board may be linked by telephone line to the sites which is advertised to give current information. Museums for example may be indicated as being open or closed, and hotels may indicate 'vacancies' or 'full'.
