EXAMPLE:The compound of formula II. USE:An amphoteric compound having the excellent foaming ability in sea water and stable to change in pH of an aqueous solution. Suitable for application to a bubble fire extinguishing agent, a foaming agent, a detergent, a wetting agent, etc. PROCESS:A perfluoroalkylcarboxylic acid or perfluoroalkylsulfonic acid is reacted with an amine of formula III to give an acid amide of formula IV, which is then converted into Na salt thereof. The resultant salt is then reacted with an alkylating agent of formula V to afford the compound of formula I. |
