<p>The reflector is mounted between two end supports connected to the tube contact terminals. The reflector has a mirror surface between the tube and the casing containing the operating circuit and a second and third mirror surface running along the longitudinal edges of the casing. The second two mirror surfaces are concave on the side facing the light tube. The first surface is either planar or has V-shaped cross-section with the light tube positioned at the apex. Pref. each of the second two mirror surfaces is formed as a series of longitudinal facets. The reflector is used to facilitate max. light output from the light tube, so that a tube with a lower rating than usual can be used, for min. electricity consumption.</p> |
