PURPOSE:To enhance the corrosion resistance of a galvanized wire to seawater, etc. by heating the wire at 300-400 deg.C to grow an Fe-Zn alloy layer. CONSTITUTION:A galvanized steel wire is worked into a wire net or the like with a product working machine and heated at 300-400 deg.C in a heating furnace. Zinc of the galvanized layer diffuses and penetrates into the steel to form an Fe-Zn alloy layer between the steel wire and the galvanized layer. This alloy layer prevents the galvanized layer from being damaged and peeled off, and the corrosion resistance of the galvanized wire to seawater, etc. is remarkably enhanced. The heat treatment may be carried out prior to the working into the wire net or the like. |
