<p>Synthetic binder for prodn. of agglomerates, conglomerates, concrete and prefabricated elements, comprises: a thermoplastic polyethylene resin either as such, scraps or recovered, ground or pulverised and the following additives, ground or pulverised, acting as oxidation catalysts: alumina, feldspar, kaolin, perlite, silica, these additives being used in amts. of 0.5-3 (1) wt.% w.r.t. the resin and the grinding or pulverisation allowing coating and anchoring of the above materials at 150-200 deg.C. Also claimed are a concrete compsn. and its prepn., the compsn. comprising e.g. stones, gravels, sand, minerals or plants and the above binder used in amt. of 3-10 .% of the stones, gravels etc. The concrete compsn. is used for cladding road surfaces, industrial grounds and the like and also for the prodn. of prefabricated elements such as paving blocks, tiles, panels, flagstones and the like. It has better compression, tensile or flexural strength than prior art compsns. as well as improved resistance to heat or cold and to the corrosive action of acids.</p> |
