PURPOSE:To ensure a free selection of characters at the side of users, by installing the character pattern generators in the same number as the necessary types of characters and then increasing or decreasing the number of types of characters when necessary. CONSTITUTION:The character pattern generators 30 are provided on the circuit substrate 25 in the same number as the desired types of characters. Then the substrate 25 is inserted into the inserting slit formed under the switchboard 20, and the connector 26 is connected to the connector 22. The switchboard 20 is transparent and thus the lower part of the switchboard can be seen through. Thus the character pattern generators 30 are located in correspondence to the character input switches 21 on the board 20. The switches 21 are defined by the name of character 31, and then the switch 21 corresponding to the character 31 is operated for input. As a result, the generator 30 corresponding to each character is selected. |
