The tool is intended for removing burrs from the edges of a bore (10) or milled cut-out in the wall of a tube (1). It comprises at least one file element (2), whose contour corresponds with that of the inner tube wall (5) and a diametrically opposed slide shoe (3) (or other file element) with a spacer spring (4) interposed between element and shoe. The assembly is axially movable in the tube by a resilient rod (8). The elements (2) and shoe (3) are preferably axially fixed but radially movable relative to the operating rod and may be coupled via leaf springs (6) These are connected to the element and shoe as near to the wall as possible.
