The frying pan cover is made in two parts and consists of a frame section (1) fitted with a centre opening and which can be placed on to the upper edge of the pan and of an insert (2) which is superimposed on to an edge section of the frame (1) enclosing the centre opening. The insert covers the centre opening and is detachably locked to the frame section (1). In that edge section of the frame section (1) enclosing the centre opening and covered by the insert (2) there are recesses for the insertion of fondue forks.
