<p>The antitheft device has a steel cord fixed at one end into a block of synthetic resin and at the other end provided with a ring used for securing inside the vehicle and fixed by a lock to the steering wheel, seat belt or similar. The steel cord is connected electrically by a two-core cable and plug via a relay that operates the vehicle's signalling horn to raise the alarm. The steel cord has an insulated flexible conductor wrapped around its outer surface. The conductor is connected via a resistor inside the block to the cord. The cord and the conductor are connected via the two-core cable and plug to the alarm unit.</p> |
