Knock vibration detector for IC engines - contains piezoelectric vibration element clamped between elements of contact frame
摘要

A knock vibration detection sensor for internal combustion engines has a piezoelectric vibration element. It ensures reliable detection of knocking whilst simultaneously effectively shielding the piezoelectric element from ambient influences. The piezoelectric vibration element (16) is connected to a contact fixed in a fitting (21) with the free end of the vibrator (16) projecting through an opening in the end (22) of the fitting which fits in a hole (31) bored in the housing (30). The backward projecting end of the fitting (21) with the contact element and the cables (34,35) connected to it is sealed into the sealing compound. The contact element is a frame (11) consisting of two elements between which the vibration element is held in conductive contact.
