PURPOSE:To heighten the draining effect of a circumferential groove and improve cornering performance on a wet road, by increasing the depth of the circumferential groove toward sideward grooves which communicate with the circumferential groove. CONSTITUTION:A tire E has a circumferential groove continuously extending in the circumferential direction of the tire and a plurality of sideward grooves 2, each of which is opened at one end into the groove 1 and opened at the other end on the side 2a of the tire E. The circumferential groove 1 is shaped zigzag. The depth 3, 4 of the grooves 1, 2 are so varied that the depth of each section A is linearly increased right and left from the center of the section A toward the center line of the sideward groove 2. This results in greatly improving cornering performance on a wet road and heightening a draining effect. |
