The switching element includes switch blanks and cams used for staggered actuation of micro switches. The cams are mounted in line on a drive shaft. The switching times can be set in the factory as well as by the consumer. The cam is surrounded by a rotating ring. The circumferential surface of the cam (1) is made with a number of slotted holes. The outer ring (5) has a switching profile which forms a program. The consuming unit (14) is switched via a micro circuit (13) with a wiper arm (11) sliding over the outer surface of the outer ring. The profile of the outer ring contains a number of recesses corres. to the required disconnection times for the load circuit.
