PURPOSE:To directly read the present position of tape and to make easy the selection of data, by providing a scale plate having a sectional scale each data block specified on the moving path of a cursor in interlocking with a detecting mechanism of tape run amount. CONSTITUTION:The amount of tape run of a tape cassette 11 is detected with the detecting mechanism 12 of mechanical counter type and the cursor 13 is moved toward the arrows X and Y with the drive mechanism 14 according to the detected value. The cursor 13 cosists of transparent plate and on which the arrows 15, 16 are drawn. Correspondingly, light emitting diodes are provided at the rear side of the cursor 13 to illuminate the arrows 15, 16. On the moving path of the cursor 13, band shape scale plate 18 is sticked and the scale line, e.g. according to the recordings A-H, is provided by sectioning the one side and other side of tape into upper and lower sides on it. The present position of tape can directly be read with the position of the scale line 17 of the cursor 13, and the selection procedure of desired recording (data) can easily be made. |
