A filtration plant comprises an open filter bed 1, a discharge passage 5, 25, containing a pump 6 which forms the sole device for automatically regulating the rate of flow of the liquid through the filter bed, an ozonizing device 8, 11 including an ozone mixer head 8 disposed downstream of the pump for sterilising the liquid, a liquid container 9 connected to a connecting line 7 between the pump and the ozone mixer head above the latter, and a return line 12 (12<SP>1</SP>) which leads to a point upstream of the pump and which branches from the container at a height providing a constant rate of flow to the mixer head. |
