PURPOSE:To increase the thrust of the motor while maintaining the stopping position accuracy highly by forming at least one of the stator teeth and the slider teeth in cross sectional shape in flared trapezoidal configuration and thus increasing the magnetic flux passing cross sectional area. CONSTITUTION:At least one of the slider teeth 4 and the stator teeth 2 mounted with an exciting coil 6 is formed in vertical cross sectional shape in a flared trapezoidal configuration. Thus, the flowing cross sectional area of the magnetic flux phi between the stator teeth 2 and the slider teeth 4 is increased, and the thrust is increased while the stopping position accuracy is maintained highly. |
