PURPOSE:To insert normally into a cartridge with any surface upward, by providing means for both opening and closing the front of the cartridge, symmetrically to the cartridge insertion line center. CONSTITUTION:When a cartridge containing the recording medium recorded with signals on the both sides inside and closed with signals on the both sides inside and closed with the front part is inserted in the playback device, the cartridge front is kept open and the recording medium is left in the device, the cartridge only is picked up as vacant state, and the vacant cartridge is loaded in the device and taken out, allowing the cartridge to contain the recording medium inside and the front part is closed and the entire part is taken outside the device. At least, the device is provided with a bracket 141 to keep open the front part of the cartridge 11, and another bracket 142 to keep close, in symmetrically in the device relating to the center line of cartridge insertion path. |
