Compounds of the formula (I) <IMAGE> (I) in which the radicals R independently of one another are hydrogen or C1-C4 alkyl and Y1 and Y2 are both identical and are C1-C20 alkyl, C2-C20 alkenyl, C5-C8 cycloalkyl, C6-C10 cycloalkylalkyl, C6-C14 aryl, which is unsubstituted or substituted by C1-C8 alkyl, or C7-C20 aralkyl or -(CH2)m-COO (C1-4alkyl), or if Y1 is -(CH2)m-COO-(C1-4alkyl), Y2 can also be the group -(CH2)m-COO(C5-20alkyl), and in which m is a number from 1 to 6 and n is 1 or 2. The compounds are heat stabilizers for halogen-containing thermoplastics.
