发明名称 TIME INTERVAL MEASUREMENT DEVICE
摘要 PURPOSE:To improve time interval measurement resolution without increasing a clock frequency by taking out an output at a delay point divided into a prearranged number in a period of a reference clock by plural D-type FF's connected to the delay line. CONSTITUTION:A pulse of such width as to comply with a time difference between inputs A, B into input circuits 1, 2 is generated by an exclusive OR circuit 3, opening AND gate 4 and a clock from a reference clock generation circuit 5 is counted by means of a counter 8. Thus a time interval is measured. An output from the circuit 3 becomes a clock and a value 2/10 times the period To of a reference clock is detected by means of an output from a tap corresponding to 10 pieces or so of D-type FF connected to a delay line 10 held dependig on the rising of the afore- mentioned pulse. In the same way, the rising point of the afore-mentioned pulse is detected a resolution which is equivalent to 1/10 of the period To of a reference clock, so that time interval measurement resolution can be improved without increasing a clock frequency.
