PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy of measurement by the constitution in which a heat-resistant vessel housing the coke which is the object to be measured is built in one piece into a heating furnace, and the entire part of the heating furnace is rotatively driven by a motor. CONSTITUTION:With the electric heating furnace of the construction permitting external heating with heating elements 2, revolving shafts 4-1, 4-2 built in with gas lead-in pipes 11 are projected from the right and left side walls of the heating furnace 1 built in with a heat-resistant vessel (furnace core pipe) 3 for measurement at the center and are supported rotatably by means of bearings 6 to predetermined height on a base 5. A top cover 9 is opened, and the coke to be meausured is loaded into the vessel 3, after which the heating furnace 1 is heated with the heating elements 2 and while an atmosphere gas is being supplied into the vessel 3 through the pipes 11, the heating furnace 1 is rotated at set times at predetermined temp. by a motor 15; thereafter, the coke to be measured is taken out and is cooled, thence it is sieved and weight % of the plus sieve is measured. Thereby, the supply controlling of the atmosphere gas and the temp. controlling of the heating furnace is performed while the heating furnace 1 is being rotated and the highly reliable measurement of hot coke strength is made possible. |
