<p>Labelling machine for articles such as bottles, has several stations located in sequence along a track, namely an adhesive-application station, a label-storage station and a label transfer station together with at least one label selector component mounted upon a carrier rotating about itself and rotating in the opposing direction relatively to the rotation of the carrier and on each rotation of the carrier passing the stations and having an outwardly curved support face which rolls on the front label of the storage station and other stations. A planetary drive is included consisting of an inner-toothed sun-wheel fixed in the machine frame and meshing with a planetary wheel serving as the drive. The sun-wheel of the planetary gear drive has lantern gearing. The planetary gear carrying the lanterns for the lantern gearing is rigidly coupled to the drive shaft of the selector component. The slope of the teeth flanks of the lantern gearing differs according to the required acceleration and/or deceleration conditions of rotation for rolling movement of the selector component at the individual stations.</p> |
