PURPOSE:To obtain a developing device for forming a clean label, by providing grooves at least on the developing zone of the surface of a nonmagnetic sleeve in the axial direction at each position corresponding to each boarder line of the image region of recording paper, said line being rectangular to the conveying direction. CONSTITUTION:A perforation is formed at each label of electrostatic recording paper 1, nonmagnetic sleeve 3 is provided under toner hopper 2 for containing magnetic toner 5, and in sleeve 3 permanent magnet roller 4 is fixed. Sleeve 3 is provided with a plurality of grooves 3a in the axial direction at the intervals of the performations of the labels of paper 1. In this consititution, when sleeve 3 is rotated relatively to roller 4, toner 5 is drawn out from hopper 2, and conveyed on sleeve 3 clockwise, a magnetic brush is formed. An electrostatic latent image on paper 1 synchronized with sleeve 3 is developed by rubbing of this magnetic brush thus permitting clean labels to be obtained without beig attached with toner 5 near the perforation. |
