A process which utilizes acrylic polymers obtained in a bulk polymerization slurry include, (1) adding solvent such as dimethylacetamide to the slurry in quantity in-sufficient to attack and dissolve the polymer, (2) bringing the resulting mixture to a temperature not exceeding 170oC, at which temperature being such as not no action in any appreciable attack on the polymer by the solvent occured, (3) removing unreacted monomer by vacuum adiabatic evaporation, (4) and then heating to a temperature not exceeding 170oC which temperature is sufficiently for result in solvent attack and dissolution of the polymer.
