The exercise apparatus has a rotatable part which can be caused to rotate via a pedal crank, and an adjustable braking device, engaging on the rotatable part, for setting the load or the torsion resistance of the rotatable part. At or in the vicinity of a point on an engagement surface of the braking device which corresponds to the top and bottom dead centres of the crank arms of the pedal crank, the rotatable part has a relief zone which reduces the load exerted by the braking device. |
