PURPOSE:To achieve high torque and high speed, by employing a high voltage D.C. power source corresponding to output torque and rotary speed, and properly determining the power supply angle for exciting magnetic poles of respective phases. CONSTITUTION:Sinusoidal output is fed from an oscillator 7 to coils 8a, 8b. Inductances of the coil s 8a, 8b vary as a rotor rotates, and transistors 25a, 25b are controlled based on voltage variation of the coils 8a, 8b. Position detection signals are fed from coils 9a, 9b and employed for energization of transistors 25c, 25d. When the transistor 25a is disabled, for example, magnetic energy is circulated through a diode 24a to exciting coils 5c, 5d and disappears quickly, thus producing no reaction torque. Electrical power supply angle for exciting magnetic poles of respective phases is set to 90 deg. or slightly larger than 90 deg.. |
