PURPOSE:To obtain the magnetic recording medium which has the magnetic layer, where metallic magnetic powder is dispersed uniformly, and is superior in electric characteristic, by using the vinyl chloridevinyl acetate copolymer as main components of the binder of metallic magnetic powder. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic coating material is obtained by dispersing metallic magnetic powder such as Fe and Co, the vinyl chloridevinyl acetate copolymer, and the plasticizer such as dioctyl phthalate in the organic solvent, and this coating material is applied onto the substance and is dried to form a magnetic layer. As a result, a magnetic recording material which has high sensitivity and high maximum magnetic flux density and has a high degree of gloss is obtained. |
