PURPOSE:To permit to decide the furnace condition quantitatively by a method wherein a high speed shutter camera is provided to take continuous photograph of an servation probe attached to the tip of an air sending tuyere of the shaft furnace and coke particles is continuously photographed by said shutter camera to count the number of coke particles passing through the field of vision within a preliminarily determined definite time. CONSTITUTION:The high speed shutter camera 3 is provided to the water cooled probe 2 attached to a viewing window 1 of the tuyere. The field angle of the camera is 30 deg. or more and it is desirable that a focus depth is deeper, for example, l is adjusted to 2m or more. Herein, the coke particles passing through the field of view within preliminarily determined definite time is continuously photographed to count the number of coke particles. A shutter speed is adjusted to about 1/7,500sec. Thereby, the deviation of a counted value from a normal value is calculated to estimate the furnace condition. |
