The casing for a wrist watch is formed in two parts. The first part of a rectangular box open at one end (7). One large surface (4) consists of the watch glass and the opposite surface (5) forms the back of the watch. The second part is an open topped tray which slides into the first part as a drawer and holds the watch mechanism. A sealing ring (14) fits around the joint between the two parts of the watch. The two parts are held together by screws passing through the outer part into the drawer tray, each screw being provided a seal. Each part has a pair of eyelets (16,17) on one end, providing the fastenings by which a wrist strap may be attached. The adjusting wheel is mounted in the base of the tray.
|
