<p>The arrangement uses a slotted hole in a post with a slotted bush which slides into the hole in the post. The post (1) is formed from metal 'T'-section with holes (5) in the web (2). A slot (4) in the web (2) allows the wire to be pushed laterally into the hole (5) in the web. The hole (5) is of sufficient diameter to accept a cylindrical plug (8), this plug also having a longitudinal slot (9) to allow it to be pushed laterally over the wire. A raised rim (11) at one end of the plug has a flat (12) cut on it to sit against the cross piece of the 'T'-section post. The flat is on the same side of the plug as the plug slot (9), so when the plug is rotated so that its flat sits against the post, the closed side of the plug covers the slot (4) in the post web, holding the wire (6) in place.</p> |
