Antilock brake control on vehicle - operates with feedback control to vary modulation cycle times

The antilock brake control has wheel speed monitors and differentiating circuits which determine the dynamic state of the vehicle and the wheels. The cycle rate of the modulation pulses is varied relative to the dynamic response so that an optimum retardation is achieved. The circuit determines the time intervals corresponding to the non-slips rolling of the wheels during each cycle and uses these to determine the actual point at which the brakes are applied again. The system operates on a changing brake pressure so that successive cycles have less chance of wheel lock.
