<p>The system is used in roof construction for connecting a collar beam to a rafter, of equal thickness. This involves an angular metal piece, with fishplates formed on the sides of one shank, protruding from it at right angles, running parallel to each other and against the other shank, and protruding across the piece edge. All the parts have holes for nails distributed over their surfaces. The unit can be cut to shape from a bent piece of perforated sheet metal to give a strong construction at min. cost.</p> |
