Temp. sensor for surface of heat exchanger - has elastically deformable head yoke and housing opening sealing membrane

A temp. sensor is for measuring the surface temp. of a heat exchanger is esp. for the cooling medium vaporiser of a vehicle air conditioning system. The sensor is inserted via the sealed opening of the housing enclosing the vaporiser and pressed between two lamina. The sensor position can be accurately set despite larger tolerances in the insertion procedure. This position is maintained during travel over rough roads and ensures good thermal transfer. The inserted part (12) of the sensor (7) has a yoke (16) which deforms elastically as it passes between the lamina (14) of the cooling medium tube (15). The other end of the sensor is a grip (6) with a membrane seal (5) acting both on the grip and on the walls (4) of the housing opening (3).
