PURPOSE:To prevent flocculation and toner well and enable always stable development to be carried out by providing a nonmagnetic plate which has predetermined openings in the lengthwise direction and a member for scraping the toner overflowing into a toner tank. CONSTITUTION:A nonmagnetic plate 5 having opening parts 6 in the lengthwise direction by leaving predetermined intervals is disposed in contact with the tangential direction of a sleeve 2. Also, a member 12 for scraping the toner is mounted to the end of a revolving arm 11 which is supported to a shaft 10 within a toner tank 8. With this constitution, a toner layer 7 of a fixed thickness is formed on the sleeve 2, and there is always roughly fixed toner on the contact surface with a photoreceptor 3, whereby stable developing is accomplished. When the layer 7 reaches the opening parts 6, the toner overflows through the opening ends 5a into the tank 8 and forms a toner well, but the toner is scraped off by the member 12. The plate 5 constantly cleans the sleeve 2, thereby preventing any solids from sticking thereon. Thereby, the stable development is carried out. |
