<p>The tensioning system for holding the electrode (9) for a spark erosion tool in correct alignment uses a tensioning block (3) between the electrode holder block (7) and the tool spindle (1). In alternative systems an intermediate block or adaptor is included between these blocks, or an angle shaped block (16) may be used instead. All these blocks have holes (11,12,13) through them, at right angles to each other. The first two blocks (3,7) have slots (5) across one face, with a hole (15) through each arm (20) of the pair forming the slot, to receive a connector. All or some of these holes can terminate in a counter bore (14) at one end. The adaptor block has a slot across two end faces, these slots being at right angles and of different widths.</p> |
