Radiator thermostat valve with integral timer switch - has setting knob operating bistable switch rotated by battery-driven motor

The thermostat valve has a setting motor controlled by a timer switch having a switch disc (6) with peripheral riders (7) rotated by a quartz-controlled motor via a slip coupling. The riders (7) are detected by a pivoted lever (8) cooperating with a microswitch. The setting knob (9) has at least two cams (11,12) acting on the switch lever (13) of a bistable switch, so that this is switched into the opposite position upon rotation of the knob (9). The microswitch is operated by the pivoted lever (8) to cause motorised rotation of the knob (9) in one direction until the bistable switch lever (13) is operated by one of the cams.
