Balancing rotors, esp. electric motor armatures, - using separate static and dynamic measurement and correction processes

The method is used for balancing rotors and is esp. applicable to the armatures of electric motors. Balancing is performed more rapidly than with conventional devices. Static and dynamic imbalance are balanced out in separate balancing processes. The static imbalance is corrected in the measured centre of mass plane (5') or in equidistant planes. The dynamic imbalance fine couple is corrected using two balancing units (6,7) mutually offset by 180 degrees w.r.t. the rotor (3). The balancing units (6,7) are separated from the balance points (16,17) by equal distances and are controlled synchronously via a single device (11) according to the size of the imbalance fine couple until this is brought within tolerance.
