<p>A fixed value capacitor is designed for direct mounting within a slot in a printed circuit card. The capacitor has a rectangular cross-section that is made of alternate layers of a suitable ceramic dielectric and electrodes. Terminal strips are formed down both edges and project along the sides. The bottom end of the capacitor is tapered and sized to fit into a slot in a printed circuit card. A high capacitance to size ratio is achieved.</p> |
