PURPOSE:The titled lightweight bushing having improved strength, designed to cause the flooding of a glass stream scarcely, in which protruded parts having concentric annular horozontal parts and the centers at the central axes of many small holes formed on the bottom thereof are provided on the outer bottom peripheries of the small holes. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of small holes 1 for flowing out molten glass are provided on the bottom plate A of a bushing, and protruded parts 2 having a height of 0.2-1mm., preferably 0.3-0.7mm., are formed on the outer bottom peripheries of the small holes 1. The protruded parts 2 each forms a concentric annular horizontal part having the center at the central axis of the small hole 1 on the top end 4. The top end 4 is constituted of a vertical surface 5 at the outer peripheral surface on the side of the bottom plate A and a circular arc surface 6 connecting to the surface 5. Thus, the time required for going into a stable operation can be reduced in the case of a broken fiber and the flooding phenomenon. |
