PURPOSE:To form a small-sized and inexpensive dot printer by combining a dot head having a plurality of dot wires in parallel to a printing line with a dot head driving cam and a driving motor arranged coaxially. CONSTITUTION:The dot head 1 wherein a plurality of dot wires 102 driven in the direction of an arrow (a) are arranged in parallel to a printing line is arranged between frames 3-a and 3-b, while the cylindrical cam 6 moving the abovementioned head 1 through the intermediary of a cam groove 602 and a shaking pin 103 and the cam-driving motor 7 are arranged coaxially, and thus the dot printer is formed. Accordingly, in a case when the head 1 provided with n pieces of dot wires 102 is employed, for instance, the dots of one dot line are printed by moving the head 1 at a distance (p) which is 1/n of the interval between the frames 3-1 and 3-b and the printing is further performed sequentially by feeding paper for one dot line, whereby the printing can be performed efficiently with less amount of movement of the head 1. |
