PURPOSE:To obtain a compact image pickup tube with the same characteristics as a one-inch tube, by performing the same scanning as in the case of one-inch tube using an electron gun for a two third-inch tube. CONSTITUTION:Alternate G5 and G6 electrodes 4 and 3 are formed on part of the inner wall of the shoulder (a) of an outer tube 1 in which the faceplate mounting section of a two thrid-inch tube is extended to one inch, using metallic or transparent conductive films. A target mesh 14 is secured by providing a cap screw 8 consisting of ribbon-type nonmangetic metals on a mesh ring 7 which is opposed to a faceplate 10. Then the preset faceplate 10 is clamped through an In ring 12. |
