<p>PURPOSE:To simplify the connecting constitution of the field circuit in the breakers which are connected to the field circuit of generators and the like, by providing reverse current stopping diodes in the case resistors are connected in parallel via contacts which are closed when the breaker is opened. CONSTITUTION:The breakers 9-1 and 9-2 have the contacts 5 which introduce the current of exciters 4-1 and 4-2, and a contact 11 which connects a resistor 7 for absorbing residual energy across a field winding 2 via diode 10. The breakers 9-1 and 9-2 are connected to the field winding 2 in parallel. When the breaker 9-1 is closed, the current of the exciter 4-1 is flowed through the field winding 2 via the contact 5. When the breaker 9-1 is cut off, the contact 11 is closed, and the negative current generated in the field winding 2 is flowed through the diode 10, the contact 11, and resistor 7, and the residual energy is absorbed. The operation of the breaker 9-2 is the same as the 9-1.</p> |
