PURPOSE:To eliminate vibration due to operation of a hermetic compressor equipped with a balance weight, without over-exerting its bearings, by suspending part of the weight in a stepped side wall of a weight supporting frame. CONSTITUTION:A balance weight 17 attached to a shaft 15 is composed of a shaft balance weight 18 and supplementary weight 19, the former 18 being neighbored with a port 20 and the latter 19 being reveted to the side wall on a supporting frame 3. Since the center of gravity is externally shifted due to the supplementary weight 19, the centrifugal force is increased to well-balance it with the reciprocating movement of a piston 13. |
