发明名称 METHOD FOR MEASURING WAVELENGTH DISPERSION
摘要 PURPOSE:To eliminate the effect of pulse distortions and improve SN ratio by using a white light source modulated by repetitive waves such as sine waves and measuring wavelength dispersion by, for example, a zero point method by using the interference of these sine waves. CONSTITUTION:In a white signal modulator 102, white light is intensity-modulated by the sine wave generated from a sine wave generator 101, and the intensity-modulated light is entered to a fiber 103 to be measured. The light of required wavelength lambda1, lambda2 is extracted by a spectroscope 104, and the envelopes of the light of the respective wavelengths are detected by light-electricity converters 105, 106, whereby the sine waves are reproduced. The phase difference of the two reproduced sine waves are measured with a phase difference measuring device 107, and the wavelength dispersion is obtained by operation using this value.
